We currently serve the following districts; ABC Unified School District, Adelanto Elementary School District, Hawthorne School District, Long Beach Unified School District, Montebello Unified School District, San Diego Unified School District and Pomona Unified School District.

Part Time

MUSD - East Los Angeles
Arts & Crafts Instructor - NEW

We are looking for individuals to instruct our students in arts and crafts. Students attend our after-school programs in Montebello Unified School District.  Applicant must prepare students for art galas and events. Applicants must have a high school diploma and have 48 college credits or take an instructional aide test.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare students to show art works at art galas.

  • Work with students in 20:1 ratio classroom setting.

  • Responsible for setting up all fields & equipment.

  • Keep an inventory of all sporting equipment and uniform.

  • Create an inviting environment that fosters a sense of belonging.

  • Support students in making positive behavioral choices.

  • Identify student needs and communicate to Site Director, school authority, and parents.

  • Ensure student safety by assisting in set up, break down and ongoing site maintenance in an effort to keep the school or community clean and orderly for the students.

  • Perform other duties as assign.

 

Qualifications: ​​

  • Must be VOCAL and able to interact with children of all ages and backgrounds.

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.

  • Ideal candidates will have completed a minimum of 48 core College/University Units (Child Development units a plus!) – or pass the District test.

  • Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).

  • Ability to speak and write standard English appropriate for a public school setting.

  • Must pass TB test.

  • Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).

  • Must have reliable transportation.
     

Hours and Scheduling: Monday to Friday. Hours range between 1:00pm – 6:00pm (3-4 hrs. max per school day).

Part Time

Flag Football Coach

We are looking for individuals to coach and train students in flag football. Students attend our after-school programs in Montebello Unified School District. Applicant must prepare students for competitions and events. Applicants must have a high school diploma and have 48 college credits or take an instructional aide test.

  • Train students for competitions.

Site Directors

We are looking for a highly energetic individual to manage our after-school program. Applicants must have a high school diploma and have 48 college credits or take an instructional aide test.

Some of the tasks are outlined below but are not limited to:

  • The Site Director will communicate, implement, and enforce operational policies and procedures of ICES Education as dictated with the collaboration of the school district.

  • Ensure that the environment, programs, and services offered to the youth services are relevant, engaging, and enriching.

  • Collaborate with school personnel, other site directors, parents, and community organizations.

  • Attend mandatory district and ICES Education meetings.

  • Evaluate, manage, and mentor 4-6 program staff.

  • Resolve conflicts, disputes, and concerns with staff, students, parents, and school personnel.

  • Keep track of average daily attendance and forecast declines in attendance. Find creative ways of recruiting students and maintaining them enrolled in the program.

  • Follow snack/lunch distribution procedures as dictated by the school district Nutrition Services.

  • Meet all deadlines.

  • Maintain budgets.

  • Hold fundraisers as necessary.

  • Be a positive force at the school site!.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience working with youth, preferred but not required.

  • Minimum 2 years experience working with school-age children, preferably in an after-school setting.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, but not required.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • First-Aid Certificate must be attained within 90 days of employment.

  • Must pass Live Scan.

  • TB Test and Tdap shots required and must be obtained prior to starting the position.

  • Must have dependable transportation (some driving is required for this position).

  • Bilingual in Spanish, not required but preferred.

 

Hours and Scheduling: Monday to Friday. Hours range between 12:00pm – 6:00pm.

Program Leaders

Program Leaders work directly with an assigned class of approximately 15 to 20 students at a school site. Program Leaders act as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor to the students. A Program Leader must maintain consistent supervision and active involvement with students at all times. A program Leader ensures the safety of the students while following a prescribed program plan.

 

We are looking for individuals who specialize in any of the following areas:

  • STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math)

  • Performing Arts (cheer, dance, theater)

  • Visual Arts

  • Music (band, mariachi, guitar, keyboards, drums)

  • Sports (basketball, football, volleyball, soccer)


Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging lesson plans.

  • Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment, and physical activity.

  • Create an inviting environment that fosters a sense of belonging.

  • Support students in making positive behavioral choices.

  • Identify student needs and communicate to Site Director, school authority, and parents.

  • Ensure student safety by assisting in set up, break down and ongoing site maintenance in an effort to keep the school or community clean and orderly for the students.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of six months experience working with a group of 10 or more students in a classroom, After-school, or recreational environment.

  • Commit to a full-year program.

  • Must be VOCAL and able to interact with children of all ages and backgrounds.

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.

  • Ideal candidates will have completed a minimum of 48 core College/University Units (Child Development units a plus!) – or pass the District test.

  • Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).

  • Ability to speak and write standard English appropriate for a public school setting.

  • Must pass TB test.

  • Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).

  • Must have reliable transportation.
     

Hours and Scheduling: Monday to Friday. Hours range between 1:00pm  – 6:40pm (3-4 hrs. max per school day).

Substitute Program Leaders

Substitute Program Leaders work directly with an assigned class of approximately 15 to 20 students at a school site. Substitute Program Leaders act as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor to the students. You will be asked to travel to sites that need someone to temporarily fill in for absent Program Leaders. Applicant must be flexible and capable to work with a variety of age groups.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare students for competitions.

  • Work with students in 20:1 ratio classroom setting.

  • Create an inviting environment that fosters a sense of belonging.

  • Support students in making positive behavioral choices.

  • Identify student needs and communicate to Site Director, school authority, and parents.

  • Ensure student safety by assisting in set up, break down and ongoing site maintenance in an effort to keep the school or community clean and orderly for the students.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  •  

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience in Latin folk dance.

    Must be VOCAL and able to interact with children of all ages and backgrounds.

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.

  • Ideal candidates will have completed a minimum of 48 core College/University Units (Child Development units a plus!) – or pass the District test.

  • Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).

  • Ability to speak and write standard English appropriate for a public school setting.

  • Must pass TB test.

  • Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).

  • Must have reliable transportation.
     

Hours and Scheduling: Monday to Friday. Hours range between 1:00pm – 6:40pm (3-4 hrs. max per school day).
